Shiva is, firstly, the name of the formless Parabrahma Paramatma, the creator of the universe. Secondly, Shiva was a divine great man. He was uniquely self-controlled, a great scientist, supremely radiant, an extraordinary warrior, detached from desires, and a supreme yogi endowed with numerous siddhis (spiritual powers).
